New Blogs

I have been blog surfing again... {sigh}
I have found some FABULOUS stuff.

I know I'm supposed to be losing weight.
Thus this isn't the blog to be looking at.
But I have always enjoyed cooking and there are some GOOD stuff here

Now I have also been looking for a place
to find some quick fixins for the boys
With mom in school and working fulltime
Mac & Cheese and Hotdogs isn't very appetizing anymore.

Thus I stumbled on

Simplify Supper

It is great, a monthplan for dinners

And now that LDS General Conference is right around the corner
I have been looking for some activites
That my little ones (and even the bigger one)
Can do during the talks.
Thus I stumbled on
This site is great for many things
It also has links to other great ideas for LDS items.
Another great blog helper is
You can get great layouts from this site.
I recommend that you check often!!

So spend sometime this weekend blog hopping...

Blog Surffing again... More Weight off

I have a couple of new favs for quilting bloggers. Actually, I have a ton of favs, but my list on my sidebar would run on forever!!
Here are a couple of new blogs that I have ran across while blog surfing. Take a look at them!
TLC Stitches
Em's Scrapbag
I went to weight training again this morning, but I'm not as sore as last time. I will need to increase the weight that I'm using in order to push my muscles...
I also stood on the scale at the gym--
I know Wendy I shouldn't have done it, but I had to know.
I guess I'm addicted to that number, but weighing once a week can't be too bad, can it???
So what did it say....
I HAVE LOST 2 MORE POUNDS.
YIPPEE!!
My clothes are starting to fit much better -
in fact on Sunday I wore a skirt I haven't worn in months becuase it was tooooooo tight....
Maybe one day I will actually post a before and after picture - but I will have to have lost LOTS more!
Have a good one...

An Award... Growing Up... & OuCH!!

First off I was so excited to check on of my absolute favorite blogs to discover that I had been given an award. Jo Anne has given me the below award for my blog! THANKS!! It is so exciting to see how wonderful all the people in blogland are.

Now I must nominate 5 blogs as well... This is a tough one as I LOVE to blog surf, but here goes...

1- Karen is getting this award for getting me started on my way to blogging. I love to blog now, I think I'm an addict.... anyone know of a support group? maybe there's a blog out there that can help me.

2- Piper's Girls is getting this award for getting me started on quilting. I walked into that store for a birthday present - for me of course, and I haven't been able to get enough of it. The owner has developed my love of quilting in so many ways. I love to see all the new things they are bringing into the store. They offer online purchasing - gotta love it!

3- Sarah at Anyone Can Quilt: I absolutely love this blog!!! I can't seem to get enough of it. She has recently posted a Machine Quilting 101 and made it seem so simple that I just had to sit down and try... I did it! Check out her blog for great tutorials, amazing photos, etc...

4- Wendy at The Running Quilter gets this award for encouraging us to strive a little harder in our creativity, to enjoy being fit, and never give up!! Check out her blog for some great motivation for working out and being creative.

5- Lynette Anderson from Lynette Anderson's design. She has beautiful stitching and quilting. The free BOM for Noah's Ark is so cute!! Too bad I'm not having any more boys to make this quilt for. But I'm pretty sure someone in the Bergeson family will be...

Now on to some other things...

My baby is growing up! Today was his first day of Junior High. He was so excited but nervous.

He started out as a little bundle. I can't say a little bundle of joy because he came into this world fighting with all his strength

to stay a live. He was born 9 week premature and had to be hosptialized for 6 weeks in ICU. What a strain on his mother!!! I never knew what was going to happen to him. He made it from a little 4 lb 2 oz premie to an amazing 12 year old.

He amazes me every day. I know I will never hold him as my little baby again, but to watch him grow and mature has been amazing.... I love this little guy!

Now for the OuCH!!!

I took a weight lifting class this morning at 545 am. That's right I was up and out of bed and now I can't even lift my arms, legs, sit, stand, etc... I know that this will help me get fit, but it hurts today. I will be doing a weight class twice a week so not only will I lose fat but I will also tone those long lost muscles that I really feel today... UGH!!!

I'm off for a couple of days.. we are headed to Bear Lake to soak in some relaxation!

Ta Ta for now....

Undecided?!?!?!

So I can't decide if I want to create a second blog just for quilting. Quilting and my family are my life, so it is easier to just update one blog, however, my quilting lately is on hold due to the amount of school that I am doing. I think this blog would be over taken by just family things. I'm open to suggestions on this one!!

As for the blogs - it is ADDICTIVE!! I was emailed (thanks Karen) this great site to help modify the templates for blogger. I use it frequently!! http://sjhblogdesign.blogspot.com/

School is going along well. My first 2 tests are complete and everything looks on track to keep those A's and B's that Andy has threatened me with.

Andy has had some tragedy in his life. One of his good friends was recently killed in a bike - car accident. He cried and cried. It hurt so much as his mother to watch him go through this life challenge. His teacher and I are working on putting together a quilt where the students in his class will draw on muslim and we will put the quilt together. The class will donate it to Primary Children's Hospital.

On a good note - ANDY TURNED 12. I can't believe that my little 4 pound baby, that was 9 weeks early has made it to 12. We where told that he would have severe difficulties through his life, but he hasn't. He is an amazing son, brother, kid, etc. I am so proud of him!
