Quilt Guild Meeting

Here are some pictures from the last quilt guild meeting.

The center of this quilt is hand appliqued. The quilter designed the entire motif herself.

IT IS AMAZING!!

She showed us as she was wondering if it should be hand quilted or machine quilted.

I would NEVER machine quilt this gorgeous piece of work!!

This is my challenge block for our Guild.

Every 2 months the Guild is doing a challenge block. At the end of the year for each you completed your name is put in a drawing... Hope I win!

On top of a wonderful Sew 'N Tell we had the Moda rep come and provided us information on the creation of Moda fabric along with a little glimpse of what was coming to our local stores for Halloween, Fall and Christmas...

All I can say is I WISH I WHERE RICH!
Loved the fabric that is on it's way!

Quilter's out there HELP!!

Calling all quilters!!

I saw the cutest way to label a quilt that doesn't put something on the back.

It is just a piece of ribbon sewn into the binding as illustrated in this photo...

Here is how you can help!

I know I saw a tutorial on how to transfer to the ribbon on a blog in blogland

BUT crazy me, didn't bookmark, print or even remember where I saw it

Now I have a cute baby quilt that I want to use this for

and am at a loss as to where to go to get instructions.

Yes I have left a comment on the above blog -

but have not heard anything back.

SO - do any of you great quilters out there know where I saw this

or can you provide me the instructions???

Life Got CRAZY!!!

Life has become crazy.

Between WORK & SCHOOL & KIDS!

I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off...

So what has been going on?

AB broke his elbow

Just in time to make the school basketball team

Thus a cast for 2 weeks - no games for 3

He was heart broken....

But he could still play!

M2 was playing hide N seek

As I went to find him

Here is where he was found

Glad I had the camera in tow

Yes he had stuck his head in the garbage can in the bathroom to
HIDE

Apparently I'm not paying enough attention to the children

I don't have any recent pictures of M1

But M2 decided to get some attention by

Drawing on the wall

THANK GOODNESS FOR WASHABLE MARKERS

And what does AB do when he is bored?

He and his friend found some bingo markers

and decided to cover their bodies

GLAD THEY ARE WASHABLE!!

SO what have I learned from this

I better hurry and graduate!

Hope life at your house is as exciting as mine!

What 2009 Started?!?!?

So 2009 has finally come,
Yea I know I'm a few days late
I'm not big on setting resolutions,
I just try to continually improve everyday,
be happy, and live to the fullest...

What have I got planned for this year...
I have joined the Calendar Quilt Challenge
that Rachel has put together on her blog.
Each day I'm just going to walk to my stash,
pick a piece of fabric, sew it together, and DONE.

I also have been doing Weight Watchers
I plan to take much better care of myself,
take time for myself, and learn to say NO.
Now what does this have to do with WW???
I have to do these things in order to lose weight.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and is looking forward to this new year...
