Quilt Guild Meeting
The center of this quilt is hand appliqued. The quilter designed the entire motif herself.
IT IS AMAZING!!
She showed us as she was wondering if it should be hand quilted or machine quilted.
I would NEVER machine quilt this gorgeous piece of work!!
This is my challenge block for our Guild.
Every 2 months the Guild is doing a challenge block. At the end of the year for each you completed your name is put in a drawing... Hope I win!
Isn't this just the cutest?
All I can say is I WISH I WHERE RICH!
Loved the fabric that is on it's way!
May everyone have a wonderful week of quilting....

Do U Quilt?
So I quilt to keep some sort of sanity! I am involved the the Pincusion Swap that is posted on All Stitched Up. I am so excited to be involved in this exchange. I love to interact with individuals around the world. I have finally decided what pattern I am going to use for my pincushion - but IT'S A SECRET SHHSHHSHH!
So here are some pictures of a block of the month that I am in. These colors are not colors I would have chosen on my own, so it is really a step out of the box for me. I have 2 little girls that live near me that will love these when they are completed though. Here they are...
March Block
April Block
May Block
So far the May block has been my favorite. It is definintely a block I would use again and again in quilts in various sizes.
See I really do quilt. I also have one quilt back from the quilter, but I haven't bound it yet so no picture. One quilt at the quilter for charity. My quilt guild - Southridge Quilters - is doing a prize at the end of the year for those that complete at least 5 projects this year. So far I have 2 done and several more almost ready.
One day I will have more time to quilt. It is a valium for me now!!
Guess I better get back to International Economics (I'm posting while I'm in class, have to squeeze it in sometime!)

Catching it Up!
I took my first test in Business Finance. I GOT A "B"!! Yippee, only 4 more weeks of classes.
I was able to complete 2 quilts this past week. I of course was so excited that I ran them right to the quilter without taking pictures - thus look forward to a future post with the completed quilts. One of the quilts is a charity quilt for Quilts 4 Cancer. The Utah Quilt Guild is supporting this charity this year and is hoping to get many quilts for the children suffering from cancer. I also completed a friendship quilt from my recent retreat to Bear Lake with my quilting pals. It is a patchwork doll and turned out soooo cute! Here is a picture of the block
Things have been crazy. Andy turns 12 tomorrow - I still can't believe that my little baby that was 9 weeks early is turning 12. AAAAHHHH!!! He is so excited to be hitting the teen years, and is very good at emotional negotiation with his parents. Last night he wanted to stay up just because Mom and Dad where doing that as well.We had a wonderful time at Bear Lake over Memorial Day. I forgot my camera, but my brother was able to take some fun pictures of the kids geocaching. They love to look for treasures.
I have completed the June Newsletter for the quilt guild. It was a rush and I hope those that I mail it to will receive it before meeting on Tuesday.
Life is spinning by - but isn't it great!!!

Quilt Blogging
I am amazed at all of the wonderful quilting blogs that are out there. I love to wander (on the web) and look at the beautiful projects everyone is working on. I guess I better start putting my projects on my blog. Here is one of my latest. I am down to just needing borders and would love to have recommendations for borders. I was thinking about finding a similar blue and a red for borders and topping it off with a large floral brown.
