I have to brag...

I have to take a minute and brag about a very AMAZING lady in my life.

MY MOTHER IN LAW

She has raised 5 amazing boys - the oldest which is my husband.
And somehow amongst all the crazines she was still able
to fit in time for herself QUILTING.

(Although I secretly think this became her Valium...)

I went to a quilt retreat several weeks ago
where she was the trunk show.
I thought I had lost these pictures as they were taken with my phone
BUT I just found them.

She has created some amazing quilts.
She has also promised to document them
- - - I sure hope she does, because her boys don't know her stories - - -

I am amazed at her ability.
Here are the pics

My husband left the iron on this cross stitch
She actually let him live
Boy am I GLAD!!
Not only is she an amazing quilter

but she is a wonderful mother in law,

grounded in the gospel of Jesus Christ.

LOVE YOU!!

I'm in TROUBLE!

I know I will be in trouble, but I'm hoping that if I post it first then my mother and mother in law won't be as upset the next time they see my youngest child.

Of course my mother will see him tomorrow - probably before she sees this post...

My youngest was born with hair like his fathers...
Beautiful CURLS..

Any woman would be jealous.

I know that I am. I would kill for some body to my hair.
Instead two of my children were blest with this.

So I guess I better show the

BEFORE...

AFTER...

If you don't see me, that is because I have now gone into hiding.

I know that once the curls grow back I will be safe...

LOVE YA MOM's!!

Just some fun PHOTOS...

Due to life I have been slacking at blogging.

So in hopes that I catch up one day...

Find my sanity somewhere...

Quit remodeling the house

(Pictures to follow)

And focus on some special children in my life

Here are some of my favorite pictures of them...

Quilt Guild Meeting

Here are some pictures from the last quilt guild meeting.

The center of this quilt is hand appliqued. The quilter designed the entire motif herself.

IT IS AMAZING!!

She showed us as she was wondering if it should be hand quilted or machine quilted.

I would NEVER machine quilt this gorgeous piece of work!!

This is my challenge block for our Guild.

Every 2 months the Guild is doing a challenge block. At the end of the year for each you completed your name is put in a drawing... Hope I win!

Isn't this just the cutest?

This is one of mine as well...
A baby gift for a friend
The yellow is chenille

On top of a wonderful Sew 'N Tell we had the Moda rep come and provided us information on the creation of Moda fabric along with a little glimpse of what was coming to our local stores for Halloween, Fall and Christmas...

All I can say is I WISH I WHERE RICH!
Loved the fabric that is on it's way!

May everyone have a wonderful week of quilting....

Quilter's out there HELP!!

Calling all quilters!!
I saw the cutest way to label a quilt that doesn't put something on the back.
It is just a piece of ribbon sewn into the binding as illustrated in this photo...
(photo from Dear Fi blog)

Here is how you can help!
I know I saw a tutorial on how to transfer to the ribbon on a blog in blogland
BUT crazy me, didn't bookmark, print or even remember where I saw it
Now I have a cute baby quilt that I want to use this for
and am at a loss as to where to go to get instructions.
Yes I have left a comment on the above blog -
but have not heard anything back.

SO - do any of you great quilters out there know where I saw this

or can you provide me the instructions???

Thanks!!!
