A Day late & A dollar short... GIVEAWAY!

Sometimes I always feel "a day late & a dollar short"... well that can explain my week. First the car blew up, now I was supposed to post my giveaway yesterday and missed it. Life catches up I guess.

I finally got my camera and a few other goodies in the mail. The first goodie was a win from Kim on her Shop Hop giveaway. THANKS! It is a wonderful pattern.

The next fun thing I got in the mail was a Candle Breeze. Ladies if you don't know what this is you better check it out!!! Rather than burning candles all the time this decorative fan puts fragrant smells throughout your house. Right now I am smelling Ocean Mist (Cucumber Melon). This smell is much better than the smell of 3 growing boys. :)

I also got a new nephew! He is soooo cute. Mom and baby are doing fine. I can't wait to see him at the end of August.

Now for the giveaway.... You all know how giveaway's work. Here are my rules. There will be 2 giveaways. The first will be a Happy Jack Pincusion, a pattern, and a pack of charm squares. The second will be a complete surprise... So if you want to join this giveaway you must do the following.

  1. Leave a comment(s) on this specific post with a tip on something, quilting, cooking, kids, life, etc.

  2. If you post this giveaway on your blog it will get your name in the drawing a second time.

  3. In your comment tell me which giveaway you want.

  4. The giveaway will close in 1 week - July 24th 2008.

This Jack is all smiles for a new home....

Best Wishes today!

Wow Tara your Happy Jack is adorable. Granny Loz was very lucky to have you as a swap partner.
As for what thoughts i can offer :- Having your machine set up and ready to go when you are is a fantastic way to get things done. And remember to just have a go, it's the only way to extend yourself.

OOOOoooo! I am so excited for this giveaway!! Either one would be wonderful to win!!

Okay...here's a tip for raising kids;
Pick your battles. However, be sure to WIN the battles you pick.

Here's one for sewing;
When sewing seams on a fabric that is a little slippery, run a white glue stick (in a small amount) along the seam before you sew. It is so much easier!

Here's one for cooking;
Only use recipes that have "quick" or "easy" in the title. :)

And finally, one for life;
Make Christ the center of your life, pray often and be kind to others.

Have a great day, Tara. :):):)

I love happy Jack. My baby will be born in a couple weeks and his name is Jack too!
My only tip is that when you cut an onion cut it under cold water so it won't burn your eyes.

I love giveaways! I'll go for the surprise LOL

My tip for sewing:
When sewing linen and jeans fabrics (heavy fabrics) I use a normal sewingfoot with for seamallowens. Then steampress seams away from eachother on wrong side. Turn and steampress flat on right side.

My tip of cooking:
Try Rosépeppers on vanilla iscream for dessert.
Rosépeppers = those dried red hole pepper - like white and black hole pepper.

I've made a post on my blog.

Oh this is so cute~! I'm new at quilting and I don't know if this will help but when tacking thick materials and the pins just don't want to slide through the material I put the pins in a block of wax and I found that helped slide the pins easier.

I've arrived here through Nancy in Norway and I'll go for the surprise, too!
My tip: when you cut an onion cut it with a little piece of bread between your teeth LOL! It works and save water!!!

Well, another giveaway! You people are very generous.
Well my tip is: Live today as if it is the last day of your life - enjoy whatever the weather is like! (it is still raining here although they have been promising sunny weather for the last two day but who cares if you have your quilting!).
I love surprises.........
Hope I win.
Hugs from Holland,
Ineke
